life
Sometimes life just throws you a curveball and beans you upside the head. My sister and her family (husband, and 3 kids) were up on a cabin on a lake in Canada. No electricity, no phone, no contact to the outside world basically. I was sitting in the living room, surfing iTunes for comedians, dad was watching the news, and mom was fiddling with something. I looked up to see a fire truck come from brimfield headed towards rootstown. This isn't a normal occurance, that meant there was a fire somewhere that required assistance from outside townships. 5 minutes later we received a phone call letting us know that my sister's house was on fire. We quickly piled into the car and drove the mile and a half down the street to arrive on the scene to find 4 firetrucks already there. Eventually we found out that the fire started in the basement, the firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading beyond there, but the entire house was filled with smoke and soot damage. They're staying with us for the time being while they go through the inventory process and determine how to rebuild their house and find a temporary place to stay for the next 4-6 months. So that's been my life for the past week.
